Pasteurize Colostrum and Milk in Bags or as a Batch!
Dairy Tech’s Adda Pasteurizers are designed specifically to consistently and effectively pasteurize colostrum and milk as well as thaw and warm colostrum using Perfect Udder® Bags. All models are also capable of rapidly cooling colostrum and milk before freezing to prevent growth of bacteria.

Batch Pasteurize | Colostrum and Milk
  • Cleanly transfer colostrum into the open Adda Pasteurizer and replace lid.
  • Choose the PASTEURIZE profile from the options menu
  • The colostrum will automatically heat to 60°C/140°F and hold there for 60 minutes before cooling back to a feeding temperature.
  • Use the spout adapter on the exit valve to fill Perfect Udder® bags from the front of the machine.
    • Then properly label the bags with the date and quality of the colostrum.
    • Either feed the colostrum immediately or cool the colostrum in the refrigerator or freezer. Do not stack bags until they have cooled completely.
  • Clean the pasteurizer with a warm water rinse, scrub with hot water and detergent, followed by final rinse and non-acidic disinfectant spray on all surfaces.
  • Remove the valve and clean thoroughly after each use
  • Fill tank with water
  • Fill 2, 3 or 4L Perfect Udder® bags using a BagFiller E or BagFiller DX. Label the bags with the date and quality of the colostrum.
  • Place filled bags into the waiting water bath
  • Choose the PASTEURIZE profile from the options menu
  • The colostrum inside Perfect Udder® bags will automatically heat to 60°C/140°F and hold there for 60 minutes before cooling back to a feeding or storage temperature.
    • Do not try to pasteurize frozen bags of colostrum. You must thaw the bags first.
    • Rinse the bags and either feed the colostrum immediately or cool the colostrum in the refrigerator or freezer. Do not stack bags until they have cooled completely.
  • Be careful to not exceed 140°F (60°C) with the water bath to warm colostrum. Significant damage can occur to the immunoglobulins above these temperatures.
  • Check the temperature of the colostrum with a thermometer or by testing it on sensitive skin such as the wrist. The goal is 90-110°F (32°C – 43°C) with no remaining pieces of frozen colostrum in the bag.
  • Absorption of the colostrum is greatly influenced by the temperature.
